The Lake Huron Coastal Centre (LHCC) is looking for volunteers for a pair of Sunset Beach Clean-up events next month.
There will be evening clean ups in Sauble Beach on August 4 and in Port Elgin on August 18.
Event coordinator Alyssa Bourassa says, “Plastic pollution is posing a significant risk to coastal
ecosystems, water quality and the health of wildlife in Lake Huron.”
People are invited to come out and help keep their beaches safe and clean and then set up a blanket afterwards to enjoy one of Lake Huron’s breathtaking sunsets.
