Bruce County wants to remind vulnerable residents that the YMCA Emergency Shelter Program is available to ensure safety and access to basic needs.

Anyone that is unhoused or at risk of losing their home can contact a YMCA Housing Stability Worker who will assist in confirming a safe place to stay for the night.

They’ll also work with those in need of support to create an action plan to find and maintain long-term sustainable housing.

For more information about the YMCA Emergency Shelter Program and Housing Services visit YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce.

You can also call 211 to connect with support services in the community.

Tania Dickson, Housing Services Manager for Bruce County says with strong partnerships, like the ones with YMCA and 211, they’re able to build a housing response system for vulnerable residents.
