The Hanover Raceway announced today that it is holding a Caretaker Appreciate Day at the Racetrack next Saturday, September 3rd.
As the horses at a track are dependent on those who care for them around the clock, 365 days a year, and a caretaker is the first and often the last person the horse sees each day.
The facility said in the Facebook post that it isn’t just that day that they celebrate & appreciate them but all throughout their season with their Groom of the Week and other initiatives.
They say that Caretakers are the heart and soul of the industry, and they appreciate all they do to look after their horses so well.
