A local Kincardine man is just over $62,000 richer after being part of a group of eight friends who won a Max Millions prize worth $500,000 in the June 7th Lotto Max draw.
Locally Daniel Mekonen of Kincardine was a winner along with other members of the group; 4 from Guelph, 1 of Kitchener, 1 of Toronto and 1 from Milton.
This was a first win for everyone in the group saw Milton winner Kagnew Weldemichael. The group is said to be very close and say they feel blessed.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Lucky Lotto Centre in Scarborough.
