Huron Perth Public Health reminds parents and caregivers that they are able to book a booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine for children aged five to 11 as of yesterday.

Eligible children can receive their first booster at a recommended interval of at least six months following their most recent dose.

Dr. Lauren Hayward, Physician Consultant at Huron Perth Public Health says boosters helps to restore protection against COVID-19 that may have decreased over time.

You can find dates and locations for vaccination clinics at the Huron Perth Public Health website.

Children and youth who have not yet received a first or second dose of COVID-19 vaccine are encouraged to do so. Vaccines continue to be available for other age groups as well.

Dates and locations for HPPH vaccination clinics can be found at www.hpph.ca/GetVaccinated. Clinics are by appointment only.

Starting Sept. 19, HPPH vaccination clinics will be all-ages and provide vaccinations for individuals six months and older. This will allow families with children both under, and over, the age of five to attend a single clinic.
