Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson recently announced local businesses, events and organizations in her riding that are set to receive funding as part of the Reconnect Ontario Program administered by the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport.
In addition to the recently held “Music in the Fields” Country Music Festival receiving $185,000 from the government initiative to support tourism & culture in the communities in the area, local brewery Cowbell Brewing Company is set to receive $95,645 and the Blyth Centre for the Arts $89,540.
Other recipients of Reconnect Ontario Funding include:

- $23,315 for the Municipality of Huron East
- $12,638 for St. Joseph’s Kingsbridge Community
- $27,269 for Port Elgin Pumpkinfest
- $92,500 for Nuclear Innovation Institute
- $28,268 for Goderich Celtic Roots Festival
- $11,914 for Huron Arts & Heritage Network
- $17,205 for the Municipality of South Huron
