Huron County OPP are charging a Scarborough driver with a number of offences after a stop in Bluewater last week.

On Tuesday, Sept. 6, around 7 p.m. an OPP officer was patrolling in the area of London Road when they stopped a vehicle for speeding.

Upon stopping the driver failed to properly identify himself and provided a false name to the investigating officer.

Police arrested the accused for obstruction and now the 24-year-old from Scarborough faces several charges, including possession of a prohibited weapon.

They have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Goderich court on Oct. 17.
