Tomorrow, the Southampton Rotary Club will be dedicating a Peace Pole, in Rotary Perkins Park, to celebrate the International Day of Peace.
There will be an unveiling ceremony at 2 p.m. with Rotary President Jenny Amy, serving as MC alongside local politicians, Rotarians and friends.
September 21 also marks the anniversary of the founding of the United Nations and the club says peace building and conflict prevention is one of the seven areas of focus of Rotary International.
The club asks that you consider attending the dedication and learning about how you can help peace “Prevail on Earth.”
