Ontario Land Tribunal orders full hearing in Case of Proposed Gravel Pit in ACW

OLT rejected request by V.B. Sand & Gravel for an expedited 3-day hearing and instead stated that a full 10-day hearing take place which is set for Sept. 25th to Oct. 6th 2023.

There was news out of the Ontario Land Tribunal today in regards to a proposed Huron County aggregate mine in Ashfield Colbourne Wawanosh.

The update was shared by the Friends of Ball’s Bridge & Little Lakes group who is trying to preserve the area from the development.

The OLT was said to have rejected the request by V.B. Sand & Gravel for an expedited 3-day hearing and instead stated that a full 10-day hearing take place with the community and technical experts permitted to speak and evidence presented.

The hearing is set to take place next year between September 25th and October 6th, 2023.

It will see the company, the Township and the community take part.
