The Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh issued a precautionary boil water notice to residence of Huron Sands.
The notice was due to a power outage at the well house to install a new generator.
The notice will be lifted once samples taken have been cleared by the Health Unit but it may take several days.
They advise to run taps once water is restored to flush out the lines.
