Bayfield’s Woodland Trail closes for hunting season

The Bayfield River Valley Trail Association is reminding hikers that the Woodland Trail will be closed for the month of October for turkey hunting season.

Notices will be posted at the trail head, located at the David Street parking lot.

The association also invites the public out two their final two guided hikes of the year, on Oct. 22 and Nov. 17.

The October hike will explore the impact climate change is having on the area, departing from Clan McGregor pavillion at 11 a.m.

The November trek will be on the Mavis and Taylor Trails at 2 p.m. on National Take a Hike Day.
