The Saugeen Shore Police Service responded to a call at the Port Elgin Main beach last Sunday after a young girl stepped on a board that had several nails protruding from it.
Police attended the scene and spoke with all parties involved and learned the wood plank was located hidden by sand along a travelled area of the beach.
Police say the investigation is ongoing with no other incidents in relation to this incident.
