Hanover Police charged a local 27-year-old man with assault and uttering threats after an altercation late last month.
On Friday, Oct. 21, police responded to a disturbance in the 600 block of Seventh Avenue.
Police spoke with witnesses and formed grounds to believe that the suspect assaulted another person, though the victim did not require medical attention.
The suspect also damaged property inside the residence and threatened bodily harm on the same victim.
The man was later released from custody with an upcoming court date in Walkerton.
