Saugeen Shores has hired a new Town clerk, who will formally take over the position next week.

Dawn Mittelholtz will be formally appointed as the new Town Clerk by Council resolution on November 15.

Mittelhotz comes from the Township of Wilmot where she worked for 16 years as deputy and municipal clerk.

“We look forward to Dawn playing a key leadership role at the Town,” said CAO Kara Van Myall, in a release. “She has proven experience in Legislative Services that will allow her to develop our procedures and ensure the Town operates effectively and efficiently while maintaining transparency and accountability.”

Mittelhotz takes over for Linda White, who worked with Saugeen Shores for 30 years and accepted a new position with Bruce County this summer.

“I pride myself in positive conflict resolution while enhancing the public trust,” said Mittelholtz in a release. “I am excited to develop and implement legislation, policies and procedures so the Town has the framework to address the needs of this vibrant and growing community.”
