UPDATE: Hwy 21 near Tiverton reopens after collision kills one

The road remains closed from Tiverton to Bruce Road 20 the protection of emergency responders.

Highway 21 reopened this morning after South Bruce OPP closed the road yesterday to investigate a fatal collision.

Around 1 p.m. on Monday, emergency services responded to a two-vehicle collision between Bruce Road 15 and Concession 2.

One person was pronounced deceased at the scene. Their identity is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.

Police are continuing to investigate the collision along with members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team and the Coroner’s office.

The investigation is in its early stages.
