With a month left for submissions, the Huron County Library is reminding area writers to enter their Short Story Contest.

All submitted works can be up to 2500 words, and only unpublished authors are eligible.

The Adult contest, for authors 19 years and older, costs $25 per entry and has a grand prize of $1500. The Youth Contest, for writers under 19 years of age, costs $10 per entry and has a grand prize of $500.

The contest is provided by a partnership between the library and the Alice Munro Festival of the Short Story. Submissions will be accepted until March 15 and winners will be announced June 2-4 at the 2023 Festival.
