Kincardine votes to include Campbell Bridge replacement in 2024 Capital Budget

The single lane bridge is over 50 years old and a 2021 inspection gave it a rating of 21 and a lifespan of less than 5 years remaining at which time it would need to close.

The Muncipality of Kincardine received a report in Infrastructure and Development on Campbell Bridge in the former township of Kincardine along Concession 5.

The single lane bridge is over 50 years old and a 2021 inspection gave it a rating of 21 and a lifespan of less than 5 years remaining at which time it would need to close.

The project was requested to be included in the 2024 Capital Budget Plan.

The Bridge is set to be re-inspected in 2023. A replacement bridge have a lifespan of 70-75 years.

Council voted in favour of Option 1 of a Steel Beam replacement at an estimated cost of $3.75 million dollars.
