A Wiarton man is doing the happy dance after winning $100,000 in the March 1st Lotto 6/49 draw. Donald Standen won thanks to playing Encore in the draw and matched the last 6 of 7 numbers.
The father of 2 and grandfather to 1 says he always plays Encore. He found out the good news while stopping for gas on his way home in Guelph.
He then called his wife to tell her and she didn’t believe him at first.
He says he is thinking about purchasing a boat and plans to put his winning away for now.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Circle K on Main Street in Sauble Beach.
