The Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority issued a flood warning for the Municipalities of Arran-Elderslie, Brockton and Kincardine.

All other areas in their watershed remain on a flood watch until further notice.

The Authority advised that over the past 24 hours, a significant rainfall event was experienced bringing upwards of 60 mm of rain.

This has caused numerous watercourses in the three areas to overtop their banks. Many roadside ditches are full and beginning to flood low-lying and adjacent areas.

The warning is to stay in effect until Saturday, April 8th.

Saugeen Valley Conservation staff will closely monitor the situation and will provide an update if conditions change.
