Goderich recognizes Courtney Gardiner & Toronto 6 Team for winning Isobel Cup in Women’s Professional Hockey

Trophy is equivalent to the Stanley Cup of Women’s hockey and is named after Lord Stanley’s daughter Isobel, who shared his love of the game and is known as one of the first female hockey players in Canada.

Goderich Mayor Myles Murdock shared word of local Courtney Gardiner and her Toronto 6 team bringing home the Isobel Cup in the Premiere Hockey Federation.

The trophy is equivalent to the Stanley Cup of Women’s hockey and is named after Lord Stanley’s daughter Isobel, who shared his love of the game and she is known as one of the first female hockey players in Canada.

The Toronto 6 are the first Canadian team to win the Isobel Cup since it was first handed out in 2016.
