The Huron Residential Hospice has shared a heartwarming story of the namesake of its upcoming June Robinson Memorial Hike for Hospice which takes place on Sunday, May 28th.
According to June’s granddaughter Heather, one of the hike’s organizers, her Gram recruited her family to raise money for the hospice and hike with her.
It was more about bringing family & friends together.
She never intended to be a top fundraiser, but Heather secretly got a kick out of being in the lead.
She never missed a hike since it started in 2017. June passed away in late 2022.
The event will feature a light warm up, woodland scavenger hunt, and fitness challenges.
After the event there will be a BBQ with hamburgers and black bean burgers on the grill, kabobs and protein shakes. All for free.
