The Saugeen First Nation is set to host a May Long Weekend Celebration in Honour of its Victory in their lawsuit over the ownership of North Sauble Beach.
The event is set for Sunday, May 21st.
The significant moment comes after them spending nearly 30 years in court, and 170 years fighting to have the reserve boundaries recognized.
The subsequent steps for them are now keeping it open, keeping it safe, protecting the environment, seeking expert advice, working with treaty partners and neighbours and fighting appeals.
Further details on the events of the Celebration on May 21st were not released.
