The South Bruce OPP have shared a video informing fellow motorists of things to keep in mind when out on the roads when they approach a horse and buggy.
They include that they travel at between 10 to 12 km per hour, that a horse may step back once it makes a stop and the need for extra space, and they they travel downhill very slowly so that the buggy driver does not lose control.
Drivers are urged to only pass a horse and buggy on the road when it is safe to do so as with any other vehicle on the roadway.
