The Town of Saugeen Shores received a Planning Report at its Council Meeting Monday evening on a proposed By-Law to Amend the Official Plan to permit two 12-unit, 3 story rental apartment buildings at 644 Mill Street in Port Elgin.
The site is just over 2400 square meters and located at the intersection of Bricker and Mill Street and currently zoned office residential.
A previous public meeting on April 17th had residents bring up concerns of density and green space.
The developer subsequently revised the submission to increase the open space to 32%.
They also added additional accessible parking spaces to bring that total to 4.
The By-Law to Amend the Official Plan was approved by Council with a vote of 6 to 2.
