OPP Law Enforcement Torch Run making return to Huron County Wednesday

The event is the largest public awareness & grass-roots fundraiser for the cause and date it has raised over $74 million in Canada. It stops in Wingham, Blyth, Clinton & Goderich.

The OPP Law Enforcement Torch Run is making a return to Huron County this Wednesday, June 7th.

The Huron County OPP & Special Olympics Ontario invite everyone to take part by running alongside or by pulling up a lawn chair and cheer runners on as they pass by.

The event is the largest public awareness & grass-roots fundraiser for the cause.

To date it has raised over $74 million in Canada since it was started.

The run begins in Wingham at the Maitland River Community Church at 9am, then heads through town.

Participants are then transported to Blyth, Clinton and Goderich to bring their excitement & joy to each community.

After completing the final leg in Goderich everyone will meet back at McGee Motors on Suncoast Drive East for a celebration BBQ.

Bus transportation will be provided free of charge from Goderich to Wingham. 

Please arrive at the Goderich Legion located on Kingston Street prior to the 8:00 a.m. departure time.
