Huron County OPP is investigating a knife & mischief incident in Londesborough early Sunday afternoon which led to an arrest.
Officers received info at around 12:15 pm that a Central Huron resident was holding a knife and had damaged a caller’s property.
Officers attended & secured the area for public safety. A section of roadway was closed, and traffic diverted to allow police to safely deal with the person.
As a result a 49-year-old of Central Huron was located, arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and mischief under $5,000.
Police advise there is no further concern for public safety.
The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing today.
