HPHA updates Masking to require it only in Emergency Departments as of June 5th

Masking will also be required for anyone experiencing symptoms of a respiratory infection such as a cough, fever and sore throat, or for those people accompanying a person with those symptoms.

The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance updated its policy on masking on Monday to make it only required in the Emergency Departments.

The change was done in collaboration with its partners in Infection Prevention & Control to ensure patients, staff, physicians and family and caregivers are safe & protected while in the hospital.

Masking will also be required through its hospital sites for anyone experiencing symptoms of a respiratory infection such as a cough, fever and sore throat, or for those people accompanying a person with those symptoms.
