The South Bruce OPP School Resource Officer spent some time recently at the Ripley-Huron Community School to discuss social media safety tips with the students.
Police thank everyone for their questions on how to stay safe when online.
Tips Police provide to parents to ensure their children stay safe online include:
- being involved & know your child’s online activity
- keep the computer in an open area of your home
- be sure to know who they are talking to before they do
- before they are allowed to turn on their webcam
- knowing online friends the same way as they know their in-person ones
