The Municipality of Kincardine announced funding to support businesses recently impacted by vandalism on Queen Street in Downtown.

At the meeting last night, the Council approved a budget of $5,500 to help the cost of storefront window replacement.

The County of Bruce is also contributing a matching amount to allow businesses to apply for $1,000 in funding.

The program is being administered through the Spruce the Bruce community improvement grant program.

Mayor Craig said that Council understands how important their downtown is to the community and by supporting them with the cost of repairs they hope to help them get ahead.

Local company NPX recently stepped forward to help offset the cost of the paint being used on the temporary murals that have been painted on some of temporary cladding on storefronts.
