Saugeen Shores Police along with Paramedics and Fire rescued a person in distress near Scubby’s Point in Southampton.
When they arrived around 9 pm they saw her walking out into Lake Huron.
A Unformed Officer removed his duty belt, vest and boots and entered the water to stop the female from drowning.
They were able to get hold of her after a struggle.
A Firefighter assisted in the water from a Kayak given by a bystander.
The female was later taken to hospital along with an officer where they were both treated for hypothermia and released.
