The Listowel Wingham Hospital Alliance is set to temporarily close the Wingham and District Hospital Emergency Department over the weekend due to staffing shortages.
It is set to close both Saturday, June 24th and Sunday, June 25th at 5pm and reopen the next morning at 7 am.
Patients are asked to call 911 if they have a medical emergency.
EMS will remain available to the community and will be re-routed to surrounding hospitals to ensure residents continue to have access to emergency services.
The next closest hospitals are Listowel, Goderich, Palmerston and Seaforth.
