Heat Advisory in effect for the Area Until Thursday

HPPH reminds all to  drink plenty of cool liquids, reschedule or plan outdoor activities during cooler parts of day and wear loose-fitting or light coloured clothing.

Environment Canada has issued a heat advisory for the area with temperatures expected to get into he high twenties or low thirties.

Huron Perth Public Health reminds all to drink plenty of cool liquids, especially water, reschedule or plan outdoor activities during cooler parts of the day and wear loose-fitting or light coloured clothing made of breathable fabrics.

They also advise to never leave people or pets inside parked vehicles or in direct sunlight.

Signs of heat related illness include dizziness or fainting, nausea, headaches, rapid breathing or heartbeat or extreme thirst.

The heat event is expected to ease by Thursday.
