Grey Bruce Public Health is spreading the word about vaping risks with a recent awareness campaign.

The harms of smoking cigarettes and other commercial tobacco products are well known for their damaging effects on the body.

With smoking rates dropping and levelling off the new product of vaping threatens to undo the work done and addict a new generation to nicotine.

Youth are naturally curious and vaping products have been marketed as less harmful than cigarettes.

Repeated use of these products can lead to addiction.

The withdrawal symptoms of vaping tobacco include irritability, headaches, fatigue and changes in sleeping habits as well as nausea, coughing and more.

Parents, guardians, and grandparents are encouraged to support teens by having open conversations about these products and their risks.

Full details on the risks associated with vaping are available at the link below.
