The Town of Saugeen Shores is holding an Open House Wednesday night to celebrate its new Heritage & Cultural Inventory to preserve the information & resources listed in their current Heritage Register.

The session will provide info on the provincial heritage designation process, as well as the Saugeen Shores Municipal Heritage Property Plaque program.

The event is being held at the Rotary Hall at the Plex at 600 Tomlinson Drive in Port Elgin on August 9th from 7 to 9 pm.

A property’s inclusion in the Inventory has no legal repercussions or requirements to the owner.

It means participating properties will continue to have heritage & cultural features documented and available publicly online.
