FireFit Games set for Port Elgin Main Beach this Weekend

The 2-day event will feature firefighters from all over the region, including Bruce Power’s Emergency Protective Services Fire Department, competing against each other in a grueling course.

Bruce Power, the Town of Saugeen Shores & the Saugeen Shores Fire Department are set to host the FireFit Championships lake Huron Regional Competition on August 26th and 27th.

The two-day event will feature firefighters from all over the region, including Bruce Power’s Emergency Protective Services Fire Department, competing against each other in a grueling course.

The event will be held on the Beach in Port Elgin where the train station used to be.

The competition is made up of 6 tasks; stair climb, hose heist, forcible entry, run, hose advance and victim rescue.

There will be individual races on Saturday and team events on Sunday.

Admission is free and the public is encouraged to come out and support the competitors.
