The South Bruce Grey Health Centre has announced temporary closures set for the Emergency Departments in Chesley, Walkerton and Durham due to staffing shortages. The Chesley ED closed last night at 5pm and re-opens Thursday at 7am. It is only open for 10 hours then re-closes at 5pm Thursday and doesn’t re-open until next Wednesday, September 6th at 7am. The Walkerton ED closes next Tuesday, September 5th at 5pm and re-opens the next day at 7 am. The Durham ED closes this afternoon at 5pm and reopens tomorrow morning at 7am. It then closes overnight on both Friday and Sunday from 5 pm each night to 7 am the next morning. Ambulance by-pass will be undertaken at each site to take patients to the nearest open ED during each closure.
