Bruce Power is offering $5,000 scholarships for up to 10 students enrolled in Bruce County & Fanshawe College’s part-time accelerated ECE program which begins September 5th.
The diploma program, which is being taught at Fanshawe’s Huron/Bruce Regional Site at the Nuclear Innovation Institute in Port Elgin.
It is designed to draw more people into the field with hopes they’ll then work locally.
To be eligible for the Bruce Power ECE Scholarship, applicants must provide info in 2 phases, which includes proof of registration, submission of an essay indicating why they want to be a Registered ECE and work in Bruce County, which can be submitted as early as they’ve registered in the program until Sept. 30th.
If accepted this gets an applicant the first $2,500.
The second installment of $2,500 comes with proof they are a student in good standing at the start of Term 2 of the program.
