Bruce County Museum holding Blanket Exercises in honour of National Day of Truth & Reconciliation

Blanket Exercise is a participatory and visceral experience of the impacts of colonization on Indigenous peoples, which includes their relationship with the land, air, and water.

In commemoration of the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre in partnership with Nawash Board of Education, Saugeen Advocacy for Health and Grey Bruce Community Legal Clinic will be hosting Blanket Exercises during the month of September.

The first is on Friday, September 22nd at the Walkerton Best Western from 1 to 3:30 pm.

The second is Saturday, September 23rd at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre from 1 to 3:30 pm.

The Blanket Exercise is a participatory and visceral experience of the impacts of colonization on Indigenous peoples, which includes their relationship with the land, air, and water.

It builds relationships, community, and empathy through shared experiences.
