The Municipality of Bluewater offered a licensing update for short-term rental businesses.

At their September 18th meeting Council passed an amendment to the short-term rental by-law that requires all existing short-term-rentals to be licensed by September 30th.

All applications after that date will be considered new applications and location restrictions will apply.

The limits include that no licensed short-term rental can abut another short-term rental.

And the number of licensed premises cannot exceed 15 percent of all premises fronting on the street for which a license is being sought. For more information on the Short-Term-Rental By-Law you can contact the Development Services Officer at the Municipality.
