The Huron County OPP are investigating damage to a seasonal cottage in the Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh that has exceeded $100,000.
On Wednesday, September 13th police were contacted by the friend of a seasonal cottage owner that had been destroyed by vandals.
They were advised the owner resided in the US and they check on it periodically for the owner.
Between July 22nd and Sept. 13th, unknown culprits damaged the interior & exterior of a lakefront cottage on Hunter’s Road.
It included all of the cottage’s windows being smashed, interior drywall destroyed, furniture & household items thrown and damaged and exterior walkway lighting damaged as well.
Anyone with any info on the incident is asked to contact the OPP or anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
