*detour route to get around the area of the bridge during the closure
The Town of Saugeen Shores announced that Zgaa-biig-ni-gan bridge will be closed on Friday, September 29th from 10 am to 1 pm.
This will permit students and staff of GC Huston Public School to join Elders from Saugeen First Nation on the bridge to recognize the National day for Truth and Reconciliation along with residents of both Saugeen Shores and Saugeen First Nation.
Emergency vehicles will still have access in the area.
The Town asked motorists to watch for a significant increase in the number of pedestrians in the areas around the bridge before and after the ceremony.
