Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day is Saturday in Southampton

Event is at the Southampton Works Yard from 8 am to 1 pm where they will be accepting paints & stains, propane tanks, used oil, aerosols, batteries, antifreeze, household cleaners, fluorescent lights and more.

CIRCA 1990 - Toxic waste containers awaiting proper disposal

 

Residents of Bruce County are encouraged to remove hazardous waste materials from their homes, garages and basements and dispose of them in an environmentally safe manner.

To assist with this cleanup, the County is hosting a Household Hazardous Waste Collection event in Southampton at the Works Yard at 429 Peel Street from 8 am to 1 pm.

You can drop off paints & stains, propane tanks, used oil, aerosols, batteries, antifreeze, household cleaners, fluorescent lights and more.

Only contains of 30 L or less will be accepted.

Containers will not be emptied and returned.

Attendees must remain in their vehicle with their waste materials in their open trunks for unloading.
