There is set to be a water shutoff today from 8 am to 4:30 pm as part of the Downtown Dig in Lakeside Downtown Kincardine.
It will affect properties on Durham Street between Queen Street and Huron Terrace.
They say it’s a good idea to turn the main water value off inside your building prioer to the 8am start time to help prevent any drainage from your service line.
It’s also good practice to turn the breaker off for your hot water tank as it can prevent damage to the elements.
Once the water has been restored, make sure to flush the cold water tap in your house, which is typically outside or in the basement, until the water runs cold and clear.
Aerator screens on taps may also need to be cleaned.
