Kemptville’s Jeff Bracken travels to Port Elgin to visit his 1978 Chevy Corvette Indy Pace Car

Car was raffled off by the Rotary Club of Port Elgin during a 2-year effort and raised nearly $300,000 for area charities culminating in the spectacular giveaway.

Jeff Bracken, a devoted Corvette enthusiast from Kemptville, Ontario had his dream come true at the recent Port Elgin Pumpkinfest when he won a 1978 Chevrolet Corvette Silver Anniversary Indy Pace Car.

The car was raffled off by the Rotary Club of Port Elgin during a two year-long effort to raise money for area charities culminating in the spectacular giveaway.

Bracken drove 12 hours round trip just to touch the car and confirm it is real.

The car was donated by President & CEO of Bruce Power, Mike Rencheck and only has its 29,000 original miles and is in impeccable condition.

The draw saw nearly $300,000 raised for area charities including the Huron Shores Hospice.
