Goderich resident faces charges after disturbance Downtown Sept. 20th

Accused was arrested after a taser-like weapon was discharged. They faces charges of mischief under $5,000, uttering threats and causing a disturbance.

The Huron County OPP have laid charges against a 31-year-old male of Goderich following them being called to a business in downtown Goderich back on Wednesday, September 20th.

Officers were called to the property on the Square in Goderich at around 1 pm on several reports of a person displaying assaultive, destructive behaviour.

They were reported to be smashing a garbage container against a store front window. OPP arrived shortly after and located the suspect in the area.

He was non-compliant, and displayed assaultive behaviour and a taser-type weapon was used.

The suspect was arrested and faces charges of mischief under $5,000, uttering threats and causing a disturbance. They are set to appear before a Goderich court on October 30th.
