Huron County OPP have charged a Godrich resident with drug and weapon offences after a complaint to police on November 4th.
Officers were dispatched to a location on Gibbons Street in Goderich at around 1am with witnesses observing a person believed to under the influence in the drivers seat of a vehicle.
Officers found the vehicle in question and spoke with the driver who showed signs of impairment. Officers had reason to believe they were impaired by a drug and was arrested.
During the arrest a prohibited weapon and controlled substances were also found.
As a result a 47 year old man has been charged with operation while impaired, possession of cocaine and methamphetamine and unauthorized possession of a weapon.
The accused will appear in Goderich court later this month.
