Kincardine Celebrating Strong 2023 Athletic Year

Kincardine has celebrated the year for two athletic teams and the accomplishments reached for the season.

Mayor Craig and council congratulated members of both the 13U OBA Kincardine Cardinals as well as the Kincardine Cubs Senior Men’s Baseball team for their 2023 season.

The Cardinals finished the year with a record of 28-8-1. Their final game of the season included a win over the Lucan-Ilderton club and claiming the provincial title.

A remarkable season, the players defeated teams in divisions above them throughout the year, adding to
their accomplishments. Players and coaches include:

Ben Warick from the team was also named the Western Ontario Baseball Association’s Player of the Year with Braden Novack named WOBA coach of the year.

The Kincardine Cubs Senior Mens squad won their third straight AA title and sixth provincial trophy over the last 11 years, marking them as the most successful senior baseball teams in the province over the last decade.
