Bruce Power once again is offering scholarships for students enrolled in local Early Education programs to boost the shortfall of child care workers in Bruce County.

This marks the 2nd year Bruce Power has offered the scholarship.

Last year 13 ECE students received help to offset costs associated with receiving certification.

To be eligible for the Bruce Power Early Childhood Education Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be registered as a first-year student in the Early Childhood Education program, or Advanced ECE program.
  • Submit a short essay (250 words) to BNPDDiversityEquityandInclusion@brucepower.com indicating why they want to be a Registered ECE and work in Bruce County.

Applicants can submit their application, essay, and proof of registration as soon as they are registered, until Sept. 30, 2024.

Scholarships will be awarded by October 31, 2024.
