West Grey’s first mayor, Delton Becker has passed away.
Becker served as mayor of the township from 1999-2006 while also being a councilor within Grey County for over 24 years.
Becker is remember for his passion and support for local heritage.
In a release, West Grey Mayor Kevin Eccles says he felt privileged to have Delton as a mentor and even more grateful to call him a friend.
Eccles adds Delton was a pillar of the community and his commitment to municipal governance was unwavering.
