Huron County has approved its 2024 budget which comes with a 5.54 per cent levy increase.
Following the last budget discussion from mid-February there have been no change in that time frame.
The extra in tax revenue being $2.775 million mainly comes from staffing pressures at care homes and with EMS.
In a release Warden Glen McNeil says council worked with staff to carefully balance the budget and ensure financial sustainability while maintaining essential and valued services.
